My server was attacked on friday
a lot.

It was completely unprovoked.
I appologize to all my readers for the inconvinience.
The attacked caused my colocation facility to put up filters
that prevented a good half of the packets destined for port 80 to
no longer reach their destination network, causing approx %50 of
my viewers to just get a browser hang when they tried
to hit my site.
*sigh*
Morons on irc who have a lot of bandwith, and have nothing better to do than to
attack people for no good reason - seem to have come out of the woodwork.
Yano, just as a thought, ..
back before the y2k rollover there were tons of religious extremists (Excrements? that was a fun typo ;b) were going on and on about OH NO TEH WERALD SI TEH GOING TO ENDZOR@!(#^& HOE NOE!
….
regardless, yah, there were a lot of people whining that the world would end. In those times where say : youre driving to work and 3/4ths of the routes you take are flooded because san diego isnt used to getting rained on for two weeks straight, you have an hour and a half to just roll bullshit thoughts around in your head - and for any of you that know me, or have read my site for at least a year or so will have heard me mention this before.
My brain tends to just.. go.. sometimes.
when im in an idle state, i think up the weirdest fucking shit (ask adora about some of my dreams.. when i wake up sometimes im glad the doctors dont know about me and that im not stuck on medication.. heh)
I figured that the ‘end of the world’ would be a conceptual thing. People fear change and the idea of a change on a massive global scale would be the /(.*)end of the world(as we know it)?/i (for you regex people).
Aliens, nuclear winter, polar ice caps melting - take your pick. they will all equal /(.*)end of the world(.*)/i
Following that line of thinking, we could be nickel and diming ourselves to death on this one. Anything that would end up constituting major global change would equal the end of the world.
I think the ‘end of the world’ is on its way shortly. It likely wont be a bad thing (im tempted to say that re electing bush was a major contributing factor *snicker*).
I heard a very good phrase, and ive been overusing it.
“Luck favors the prepared”
