Again, i feel funny actually ‘blogging’ I normally dont do this. Well, i USED to, back when i had a smaller usercount and i used to take lots of pictures and post them and stuff..

anyway..

I’m driving home, and amongst the stuff i’m about to cover, I made a booboo. For those of you familiar with the intersection, I was getting on i-15 northbound at scripps poway parkway / mercy road.. from the mercy road side.. so i went east under the bridge for 15, and got in the left turn lanes. I pulled out a little too far.. maybe.. two feet ove r the line.. and there were people getting off the freeway to turn left who .. if they didnt adjust just a bit would have clipped the front of my jeep.

HOLY SHIT PEOPLE ARE CRAZY.. seriously, I thought I had anger issues, and while i was rocking out to some fun lovin criminals, i was watching people drive by.. the first one was this silly fat bitch with short blonde hair.. she was in a saturn .. she mouthed ’stupid mother fucker’ very clearly while i smiled at her. the next was an old guy that was in an oldsmobile (go figure eh?), he didnt make eye contact with me but he pointed his index and middle fingers at me as if he was holding a gun and ’shot’ me. He was turning left so he used his right hand to go over his left arm in doing this. I laughed at that one. All of this because I made them turn their steering wheel a little less to the left than they had liked. Seriously, people are too caught up in their mundane fucking little lives. We need a hurricane, or a giant earthquake or fucking something here to shake people loose from their daily droll. Either that or I need a b-17 lower ball turrent with the twin .50 cal machineguns on the top of my jeep, and a gunner.

so I mentioned I was driving home from my second day at work… I heard a nine inch nails song on 94.9 which is the ‘indie’ station in town. I saw a recent picture of trent reznor.. (and this is fucking funny.. THIS PICTURE that i searched images.google.com for, i found on seattle gay news.. HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA) and when i saw the picture i laughed.. i said.. wow, after so many years being a psedo-intellectual goth, and talking about weirdshit and dressing up all funny and putting weirdshit in your videos.. you go and turn indie. I heard he quit drugs, has a blog, a webcam and often gets on irc and blogs and shit while composing new music.
Anyway, so i hear a new song from nin on the radio. I thought.. eh.. i hate these guys, but i’ll give them a listen regardless. I’m about 10 seconds into the song and i got the feeling I was listening to devo. another few seconds into the song, the typical nin almost-gothy drumloop effects come in and trent starts yipe-ing about ‘there is no fucking you, there is only me’ and I instantly thought of trent in the form of a charachter from questionable content, this nifty comic lucca told me about that has a heavy influence from indie-pop culture. After having to endure the devoesque, highschool remiscent fucking trent-emo-indie-reznor shit, a song popped on from ‘fun loving criminals’, that old ’scoobie snacks’ song I heard in highschool a lot. I literally said out loud “HAH! fucking awesome!”. I love hearing old good songs on the radio i’d completely forgotten about - now i can go fetch the song! :) .. after that… the presidents of the united states of america came on playing ‘peaches’ and I burst out laughing. Another awesome song from highschool.

that made me think though - if youve ever seen any videos from those guys, theyre like.. a ‘barebones’ band if there is such a thing. The guitarist has three strings on his guitar, and the drummer has a bassdrum, a snare, and a hi-hat. thats it! thats the whole band! talk about (punk/ska)core. How many bands can you think of off the top of your head that wouldnt suffer for one second if you took the two high strings off of their guitars? thats funny shit.

also, the only band ever to just RANDOMLY throw a ninjafight into their videos. Props to that shit!

Anyway, the new job is cool so far, i might end up some kinda supervisor or something.. this ought to be interesting.
