I couldn’t agree more, I saw the AIDS vaccine on Slashdot and was like “AND WHY THE HELL HAVEN’T I HEARD ABOUT THIS EVERYWHERE ELSE?!” Blah. I hate the media.

I listen to the daily mp3 broadcasts on democracynow.org most days. Most of the things they talk about on there seem to actually be at least fairly important. In fact, one of the things on their topic list today (I haven’t been able to get that far in the broadcast, unfortunately) is “TV Networks Focus on JonBenet Ramsey Over NSA Ruling”

They don’t usually get too much into technological, medical, etc stuff. More on the political (particularly international) side. But better than CNN.
