The Second sdblogger meetup went off pretty well! We had something like 30-40 heads, and I brought all my studio lighting equipment for some geek portraits. The undertone seemed more to be a “..welcome to the party, again!”

We took down everyones names and blog sites, and had everyone introduce themselves. It was a solid ‘getting to know your neighbors’ session.

If we keep growing at this rate, we’re gonna be a pretty big meetup real soon! I’m glad I could be in on the ground floor, and I hope people appreciate a hacker on their side! :D

First and foremost:

Last night for a few hours LA country had a TORNADO WARNING. I was playing a very entertaining game of ‘gungame’ on a CS:S server I frequent, having my laptop beside me when I started seeing twitters about tornado warnings in LA.

I took a break from the game to check weather.com and www.goes.noaa.gov and sure enough, there was a giant swirly heading for LA.

Perhaps scientology made the weather angry? :3

In an entirely unrelated story, the /b/tards have begun mounting an online-war against the church of scientology because of the videos that Tom Cruise has released.

clearly there are still massive fragments if /i/ lurking (MOAR!) in /b/.

When I see this stuff I quite literally burst out laughing. If Tom Cruise had any sense, he’d issue a statement appologizing to /b/ (anon), and I fathom that would make a lot of the flak subside, but thinking about it again it would just make this whole situation more laughable.

I got my popcorn, this ride is gonna be fun!

Foamee is AWESOME. Its an in-line supplementary web2.0 app to twitter. I’ve been saying for years now to people that save my ass, or help me out “Man, I owe you a beer. Or two!”

Now I can KEEP TRACK! AWESOME!
