Minibosses play Meltdown Comics!

Yes, again did the assnugget crew go and visit minibosses at a show. This time we went it was double the pleasure as there were actually two shows, not just one. Additionally, now knowing a bit more about video editing, I was able to get all of the video we took into one large video, rather than 5 or 10 little ones. Unfortunately the best codec that Ive found to use for this seems to be quicktime. Any attempts to use another render the video offset with the sound so it just doesnt look right.

The show itself was rad. It was held behind a comic book store in LA called Meltdown Comics and then the second show was held right next door at a coffee shop called Top Fuel. Both places the crowd was pretty big and I was suprised at the turnout. It appears as though now, a year and a half later, we are not the only people to make large commutes to see the minibosses. Apparently now they have their own photographer following them about the country. Before the actual show they were doing an interview up in the loft of Meltdown Comics. The people interviewing them were from a tv station called ‘g4′ which is apparently a video game channel. Im glad to see the guys movin up in the world! Wandering about the area with Billys camera for a little while before the show we found some pretty odd shit. We went to some sit-down mexican resturaunt and I bought a gimlet (yay booze!), then we proceeded to watch a guy named ‘Dj Dolphinforce’ use a 12″ ibook to basically create music out of various renderings of video game sounds and music. It owned. Unfortunately we didnt really get any pictures or video of the guy. I really would have liked to host some of his mp3s (apparently he doesnt have any). I was able to get a shirt this time, a lime green one at that which I promptly wore into the office (and got lectured about). Yay corporate america!

To leave off, the show(s) were fucking awesome and Im glad we drove up to see the Minibosses. They were really cool as usual and let us take a buncha pictures and video. Hopefully sometime in the future (not another year anna half later) we can go see them again back in arizona, and get some more good footage.
