Due to the overwhelming response I’ve gotten from the trillions of readers I get on a daily basis here (approximately ten hundred million jillion bazillion hits every nanosecond), Ive opted to adopt a more frequent, yet less populated way of posting.
I figure, rather than try to hoard in new readers, and get new viewers to participate, I’ll lean more towards the people who already participate. Those bajillions of people have asked me to post more frequently, at the expense of having less content.
I didnt get any pictures of it, unfortunately but yesterday in san diego was a grim day for trees and roadsigns. There was a pretty decent storm.. lots of wind and rain. It was a first for my jeep, being Ive only had it a week, so I decided to .. ehm.. play.. a little.. on the way home from work >:>
I took old black mountain road home (for those of you famliar with it) .. its mostly dirt. The storm lastnight created lots of mud, so i was sliding around like a motherfucker. It got to a point where i was strafing around corners at 10 mph because there was so much mud it had filled in the grooves in my weenie street tires and i was getting zero traction. Course, I drove through some giant puddles at 40 and it cleaned me right up. Playing in the rain is fun >:>
It would also appear I’ve been sucked into the whole genre of anime and the semantics of the japanise way of life (according to anime). My buddy justin runs wasabi anime (note the button on the left nav-collumn), and between him and brian at work, ive been heartily pumped full of anime. I just powered through Azumanga Daioh, and Chobits (very impressive!), and now I hunger for more. I suppose its good that I get this kinda shit from people tha tknow the language/culture, so I dont get shit like dragonball z and gundam wing, which really more or less insult real anime. I’d seen anime as a kid, and thought it was cool.. but didnt know the difference between shows like dragonball z versus.. say.. trigun. I’ve mentioned starting an ‘anime night’ kinda thing, where once a week my friends and I gather and we watch on episode of four or five different animes.. but I almost feel guilty, like i’d be ripping off wasabi’s idea. Course, they do all their own importing and subtitling, so i shouldnt feel TOO Bad.
*Shrug*
I just finished watching chobits. I guess I should consider myself lucky that I work where I work, and during innane calls where I have inept customers install large enterprise class sql servers, and create and delete database, I can watch a few minutes of divx. It took me about a week, but I got through chobits. Two weeks ago it was Azumanga daioh. I got both of those now, for anybody who would like them. approx 8 gigs between both shows.
I think next post I’ll get all brainy and get into the details of watching an anime like chobits, and exactly what that would make someone like me think, being one that really gets into the story.
I set a new desktop … . .
eof.
